On December 19, 2025, at the Vietnam Sustainable Construction Forum (VSCF), The Aspira Smart Apartment Project was officially awarded the EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certification, marking its presence among pioneering developments that meet international green building standards. EDGE is a globally recognized green building certification system developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, and independently assessed by SGS – one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification organizations. The EDGE system is currently applied in more than 170 countries, featuring transparent and clearly defined criteria that focus on energy efficiency, water savings, and sustainable material use from the design stage.

Developed by Saigon High Rise, The Aspira is among a rare group of apartment projects in Vietnam that have successfully passed rigorous international assessments and achieved EDGE certification at this stage. The project underwent a comprehensive and stringent evaluation process, meeting demanding requirements related to resource efficiency, optimized building operations, and reduced environmental impact—delivering long-term, tangible benefits for residents throughout the building’s lifecycle.
The Aspira demonstrates strong technical performance through measurable results right from the design phase. By integrating smart design solutions, environmentally friendly construction materials, and appropriate high-efficiency equipment, the project commits to superior resource savings compared to conventional developments. EDGE certification requires an average reduction of at least 20% in energy consumption, water usage, and embodied carbon in construction materials. Notably, according to the detailed assessment report, The Aspira exceeds expectations with a reduction of more than 40% in embodied carbon for apartment units across both Tower A and Tower B.
The integration of these green standards represents a significant enhancement to the smart apartment concept and aligns with the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) strategy currently being promoted. Located at the core of an 18.8-hectare TOD urban zone in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, The Aspira enjoys a prime position adjacent to the extended Metro Line No. 1, with direct connectivity to Metro stations S12 and S13, while also benefiting from the accelerated development of Ring Road 3 infrastructure.
“The achievement of EDGE certification for The Aspira is a great source of pride for the entire Saigon High Rise team. This is not merely the success of a single project, but a strong affirmation of our long-term commitment to developing green buildings that elevate living standards and residential experiences, while fostering environmental responsibility and sustainable community development. In the coming years, Saigon High Rise will replicate this green building model across our future project portfolio, aiming to create a real estate ecosystem that is not only modern, but also humane and sustainable. For Saigon High Rise, sustainable development is not an option—it is our responsibility as urban developers to future generations,” shared Mr. Bui Ba Nghiep, Chief Executive Officer of Saigon High Rise, at the event.
